Cooking Demo Webinar Host
5:00 PM strikes and we’re live: “Hi everyone! Welcome to today’s virtual cooking demonstration - where Registered Dietitian Samantha will be demonstrating recipes on the topic of “Dinner Veggie Party." Enjoy!
While brief, I cherish my minute-long introduction every time as a culinary webinar host, engaging individuals across states and screens to learn about preparing nourishing, healthful meals. Moments like these continuously re-ignite my enthusiasm for food and nutrition–from exploring, learning, and educating about it to the camaraderie it builds.
Over the past year, I have had a position as a webinar host for culinary-based nutrition education program over Zoom presented by Registered Dietitians. These cooking demonstrations are held for client businesses, aiming to enhance nutrition literacy and healthy eating practices among corporate employees.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my host job which involves arranging the webinars on my personal computer, ensuring that the dietitian cooking space is visible, opening up the webinar and introducing the dietitian to the virtual audience, facilitating discussion and question/answer sessions between the dietitian and participants, and closing the session.
I find it stimulating to supervise all the technical aspects and audience engagement including video/sound settings, recordings, and chat/question boxes.
My experiences with Wellness Concepts have engendered a personal passion of spreading nutrition knowledge in a fun, interactive, and engaging way. Each demonstration consists of new themes, new recipes, and new ingredients - I have picked up a thing or two from the talented and skilled dietitians with whom I have worked. Catering to corporate employees with busy lives, these dietitians break down the recipes to the basics, and provide numerous hacks and techniques to help make healthful cooking simpler and more enjoyable. The dietitians’ vibrant energy is contagious, motivating the audience and myself to get into the kitchen!
Dinner Veggie Party!
I excited to learn more cooking techniques and about culinary medicine, wishing to transition from cooking webinar host in order to lead culinary nutrition webinars of my own some day.
