Copenhagen, Denmark

In fall of 2022, I had the fortunate opportunity of visiting my sister, who was studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark.

We spent the remainder of our trip in Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen is another marvelous Scandinavian city with a maritime flair. With rich heritage and architecture, and simultaneously urban and close to nature, Copenhagen offers a pleasing combination of a city, providing diverse experiences suited to everyone’s liking. My family and I were able to explore a bit of everything during our stay: we ventured through museums, parks, and castles, shopped in local markets, gazed at beautiful sights and attractions, and embraced the coffee and cycle-friendly culture.  Every day I was awestruck, adoring the stunning architecture and design, the historic artwork, the festive holiday shops, the colorfully painted buildings, the stunning waterways, royal influence, and peaceful gardens and natural landscapes. During my stay, I embodied ‘hygge,’  a characteristic of Danish culture described as coziness and comfortable conviviality engendering wellness, and contentment.  I found hygge while sipping on chai latte in the stunning Glyptoteket museum.  While I try to recreate the moment in my apartment, it is not quite the same!
