New York City
In the summer of 2021, I moved to New York City while transitioning to in-person learning after my virtual, first year of grad school. This is my first time of experiencing urban life. The city has humbled me in more ways than I can describe - it’s dynamic and diverse atmosphere brings endless stimulation and possibility, offering opportunities for exploration and personal growth. Here, I am in the heart of everything - I could be anywhere depending on what I wish to experience: the Hudson River or Central Park for nature and serenity, museums for art, culture, and history, theater shows for entertainment, Times Square for bustling crowds, and so on. Each day, I encounter new faces, places, and circumstances, with so much to see, so much to do, and so much for my mind to grasp. New York City may not be urban perfection, the city can bring as much tribulation as it does inspiration, however I have come to appreciate this metropolis which has engendered my successes and provided opportunities to learn through my failings. The people I have met, the places I have been, the lessons I have learned - have left a lasting impression. Below features several of my favorite pictures:
